Baco lies on the northern part of Oriental Mindoro and is the jump-off point to the majestic Mt. Halcon which stands at 2,586 meters above sea level which is the highest peak in the island. The mountain’s steep and treacherous trails present a serious challenge to even the most seasoned climbers. The old town of Baco also offers cool and refreshing mountain rivers where one can take a luxurious dip while enjoying the rustic scenery.
